Daniel Radcliffe Lovestruck
Daniel Radcliffe with his new love.
It is news set to be greeted by the sound of shattering
teenage girl hearts everywhere around the world.
It seems that multimillionaire actor Daniel Radcliffe has
last found love in Laura O'Toole, an actress four years
older than him.
The pair are said to have become "very close" since
appearing opposite one another on the West End stage in
the controversial play Equus earlier this year.
Radcliffe has been swamped by screaming female
teenage fans at his recent premieres and induced even
more hysteria when he admitted he was anxious to meet
a girlfriend.
Judging by their closeness last weekend, Miss O'Toole is
keen to step up to fill the role.
The pair, dressed in jeans and bundled up against the
cold, seemed in no hurry as they idled around shops near
Radcliffe's home in west London.
Dublin-born Miss O'Toole - who has been waitressing
part-time in a London cafe in between acting jobs -
mooched around a bookshop in Fulham with Radcliffe,
who seemed keen not to be recognised with a baseball
cap pulled down low on his forehead.
A source said: "Everyone in the cast of Equus got on
terribly well but they are closer in age than most of the
other actors so it was no surprise they bonded."
Another added: "It is certainly a budding friendship. They
have become very close."
Miss O'Toole, who made her name six years ago in the
Irish TV series On Home Ground on RTE, so impressed
producers of Equus that she will now play the female lead
opposite Lily Allen's brother Alfie when the play goes on a
UK tour next year.
Radcliffe, who will get £25 million for starring in the final
two Harry Potter movies, is set to open in the play in New
York next year.
